CAIRO: The Egyptian Ministry of Education today denied that it will halt the printing of the holy Quran books that are regularly distributed amongst secondary school students. Earlier, Youm7 published a report claiming that the Ministry plans to burn the Quran onto CDs using the voices of some famous reciters. The Ministry prints about 980,000 copies of the Quran, many with translations.
