RED SEA, Egypt: The Revolution Youth Coalition today announced their boycott of the upcoming parliamentary elections until the Law of Exclusion is applied. The Coalition opposes the fact that members of the dissolved National Democratic Party (NDP) can participate in the elections. The Coalition warned that holding elections during the current state of insecurity could be a real disaster. In addition, permitting former NDP members to run in these elections gives them a chance to form new parties and use violence, as was their habit before the January 25 Revolution, the Coalition said. The Coalition demands the application of the law excluding all former NDP members who participated in the 2010 elections. They confirmed their boycott and insisted that the government of Egypt respect the demands of the revolution, which include the overthrow of the former regime.
