People's Assembly, Shura Council nominations balloon

CAIRO: There are 1,769 individual candidates for the People's Assembly and 135 individual candidates for the Shura Council as of today, announced Egyptian High Electoral Committee chairman Abdel Moez Ibrahim.
The first proportional representation (PR) list for the People's Assembly is from the Salafi Nour Party in the Ismailia governorate.
As of yesterday, the number of candidates for the People's Assembly and the Shura Council was 548 and 47, respectively.
The nomination process is slow in all governorates of Egypt and the electoral committees will continue to accept nomination forms until October 18, said Ibrahim.
Below is a table breakdown of all Egyptian candidates from all Egyptian governorates:
Some of the candidates for the Shura council did not know the nominations for both the Shura Council and the Peoples Assembly kicked-off on the same day.
