The public funds sector of the public prosecutor's office, lead by the chairmanship of attorney general Chancellor Aly Hawary began the investigation of a number of complaints filed against the former Governor of Cairo, Abdel Azim Wazir . The public prosecutor's office is investigating allegations of wasting money in a new trial of the former Minister of Tourism, Zuhair Garanah, and the former Minister of Housing, Ahmed El-Maghraby, for the allocation of territory areas of Egypt of the Tourism Development Authority to businessmen for less than their real price. Investigations revealed Garanah used his power as head of the Tourism Development Authority to allocate territory areas in the governorate of the Red Sea, to businessmen at just U.S. dollar a meter.
