CAIRO: Supporters of imprisoned Shiekh Omar Abdel-Rahman today demonstrated outside the Fifth Settlement Police Headquarters where ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, his two sons Gamal and Alaa, former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and his six security chiefs stand trial for killing demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution. The protestors expressed support for the martyrs' families and said that the toppled Egyptian leader and his cohorts must be punished for their crimes. The demonstrators also carried photographs of the blind Sheikh Abdel-Rahman and demanded that the Egyptian government work to secure his release from the American prison where he is serving a life sentence for his participation in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. They claim he was one of the first to oppose Mubarak and his regime.
