TUR, Egypt: Major General Adel Emara, a member of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF), today asked Sinai nomads to participate in the protection of the eastern borders of Egypt in the Sinai. Emara held a conference today with South Sinai governor Khaled Foda. "270 Sinai residents are employed in the petrol sector and 80 are employed in the electricity sector," said Emara. The two officials discussed developing situations and recent incidents in the Sinai. They also confirmed the importance of cooperation between nomads, the army and the police in order to thwart any national security threat. The conference was attended by many leaders, including: Force Commander of the Coast Guard Ahmed Yousef, Commander of the Third Army Sedky Sobhy Deputy General of Public Security Mohammed Yousry, South Sinai Security Director Mohamed Nagui, Head of the Engineering Department in the Army Tahir Abdel Allah and former Commander of the Third Army Kamel Amer.
