CAIRO: Charges were dropped against two Egyptian activists Thursday evening after they were summoned before military tribunals earlier this week. Egypt's ruling military council dropped the charges against political activists Asmaa Mahfouz and Loai Nagati and notified the military judiciary commission to take the necessary procedures. In statement No. 72, issued on its Facebook page, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces also called on Egyptians to express their opinions reasonably and rationally in a way that does not insult anyone. This, said the council, will preserve Egypt's January 25 Revolution, which was protected by the army. The military council usually releases its statements
