CAIRO: The former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's defense lawyers filed a lawsuit before the administrative court to be presented for court in October. The suit is filed to prevent the committee formed by the lawyers defending the martyrs' families from attending Mubarak's trial sessions. This committee, lead by Sameh Ashour, will represent the martyrs' families in the case of killing protesters. Mubarak, the former Minister of Interior, Habib al-Adly and six of his senior deputies are accused in this case. The suit aims to prevent the committee until their previous suit is seen by court, where they requested the military council and the council of ministries to determine the identities of those killed from January 25 until March 19. This request is to separate between the martyrs and the thugs who don't deserve legal remedy. Mubarak's defense lawyers see this committee has no right to attend Mubarak's trials, because there is no evidence yet. All the plaintiffs killed during the Egyptian January 25 Revolution were not all martyrs since among them were those who died in attempts to storm police stations and prisons; those cannot be described as martyrs. Mubarak's defense lawyers also asked Egypt's ruling military council to suspend the martyrs' compensations until their identities are confirmed.
