The Egyptian government supported establishing the required substructure for mutual trade between Egypt and other Arab States, said Egyptian Minister of Foreign Industry and Trade, Samir el-Sayad. His statements came during the celebration of World Accreditation Day. El-Sayed said that Egypt's human and financial abilities will establish strong substructures for the development of Arab states in the field of accreditation. According to the Minister, Egypt's leadership of Arab accreditation proves its pioneering role. The celebration was attended by the Arab League's representatives of Arabic Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO), Sweden's Ambassador to Egypt, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, and chairmen of 12 accreditation offices in Arab states. For Arab accreditation to have international recognition is an essential requirement to achieve substructure trade among Arab States, and increase international trade, said el-Sayad. A conference on World Accreditation Day was held to show specialized proposals about Egyptian, Tunisian and Jordanian accreditation devices in order to highlight the role of Arab accreditation in removing technical obstacles in mutual trade. World Accreditation Day is a global initiative jointly established by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation.
