CAIRO: The American Coptic Union called on all Coptic Christians in Egypt to participate in the Second Friday of Anger today and not to listen to the Church's advice, which told Christians not to participate. The New York-based Union criticized Pope Shenouda III since he ignored the Imbaba incidents and he did not condemn the sectarian violence. The Union also welcomed the Salafis' and Muslim Brotherhood's (MB) announcements that they will not participate in the Second Friday of Anger. The Union spokesman, Rafiq Iskandar, said it is time Christians leave churches to participate in the Tahrir civil protest to defend the revolution from of MB controls, Salafis, and members of the regime of deposed President Hosni Mubarak.
