The exchange rate of the Egyptian pound rose against most major currencies in trading last week, according to a report by the Center for Information and Decision Support. The value of the pound against the Euro rose by about 2.6 percent from its level the previous, recording 8.575 EGP, and also increased its value against the sterling pound by 1.1 percent from the previous week's level, registered 9.738 EGP. Also, the recorded value of the Egyptian pound rose against the U.S. dollar by about 0.2% from its level the previous week, registering at 5.932 EGP to one USD. However, the value of the pound fell against the Japanese Yen by about 2.3 percent from its level the previous week, registering at 7.439 EGP.
