Ahli will return to training on Friday for the first time since the disastrous events that marred their last league game against Masri. After losing tens of supporters in this month's shock events in Port-Said, the Ahli first-team have been suspending training due to the ‘players' low morale'. But the league holders are set to be back in action this weekend, stressing that it is a ‘responsibility toward martyrs' to resume their duties. “The management will meet with players on Friday in an attempt to raise the poor psychological condition of the team after what happened in Port-Said,” Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz told the club's website. “The players' condition is understood but it is also very important to remain responsible toward the martyrs we lost in the accident. “This will not be achieved by abandoning everything and being in permanent grief.” Ahli also added that the ongoing investigation conducted by the Fact-Finding Committee is acceptable, asserting that the club insist on having ‘criminals brought to justice.'
