Egypt midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou has ended months of speculation about his future by signing a three-year contract with Ismaili. The 27-year-old almost left the Dervishes after his contract ran out this summer as the club's previous board failed to convince him with a new deal. However, the recent appointment of Yehia Al-Koumi as chairman settled things for the sought-after star. “Abd-Rabou sacrificed a lot to stay with Ismaili,” board member Medhat Al-Wardani told FilGoal.com. “He rejected more than one offer twice higher than the Ismaili contract and he surely deserves a new deal.” FilGoal.com has learnt that Abd-Rabou's new contract is worth EGP 14million. Spirit Delighted by the news of Abd-Rabou's extension, new Dervishes manager Hossam Hassan paid tribute to the midfield marvel for his commitment. “Abd-Rabou showed extraordinary commitment to Ismaili and this is the spirit needed to win trophies,” Hassan, who was hired as Ismaili manager on Monday, said.
