Egypt's coaching staff called up Ahli goalie Ahmed Adel for Sunday's Nations Cup qualifier with South Africa to replace Zamalek guardian Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed, who was excluded due to injury. "We decided to name Ahmed Adel for the match as Abdul-Wahed is suffering from a (knee) injury," assistant coach Shawki Gharib told FilGoal.com. "He will join up once he has retuned from Kuwait (where Ahli played a friendly match) along with (Egypt skipper) Ahmed Hassan." Abdul-Wahed plays second fiddle to Egypt's first-choice keeper Essam Al-Hadari. Adel became the seventh player from Ahli to make the Pharaohs' squad. Only three players from Zamalek – Mahmoud Fathallah, Ibrahim Salah and Shikabala – are now on the Egypt list after the exclusion of Abdul-Wahed.
