Ismaili agreed to let their sought-after defender Moatasem Salem join MCDR in the January transfer window, to put an end to widespread speculation over his future. The promoted side will pay the Dervishes EGP 3.25million to acquire the services of the Egypt international. "Ismaili will receive three million in cash and MCDR will pay the rest of the transfer fee three months later," a source from Ismaili, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told FilGoal.com. The coastal club reached an agreement with MCDR over a winter deal for Salem in the wake of their refusal to sell their prized asset to Zamalek. The Cairo side first had an EGP two-million bid rejected by Ismaili, who put a five-million price tag on Salem's head early this season. Last weekend, they turned down another improved offer from the Whites. "We preferred MCDR's bid to Zamalek's before it's financially better," the source explained. Salem, 30, was also targeted by Zamalek's arch-rivals Ahli.
