Ismaili punish Abd-Rabou for 'insulting' board
Published in FilGoal on 19 - 07 - 2010

Ismaili handed down a heavy punishment to midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou for 'insulting' the club's board members.
The Egypt ace had 10% of his yearly salary deducted after he verbally assaulted the coastal side's officials, according to board member Atef Ziad.
Ismaili also decided not to incur the expenses of his operation, which he will undergo to fix his injured knee.
"He attacked the boardroom during a periodical meeting on Sunday," Ziad told FilGoal.com.
"He was angry because he didn't get the check we wrote him for the operation he will have in Germany."
Abd-Rabou was supposed to travel to Germany on Monday in order to undergo surgery, after suffering a cruciate ligament tear in a friendly game of late.
"The way he expressed his anger was off-limits; he broke a window pane with his crutch, which urged us to sanction him," Ziad said. "He will also be summoned to a hearing.
"On top of that, Ismaili decided not to pay for his operation in Germany. The fee of the op will be paid only if he has it in Cairo."
Baseless Allegation
On the other hand, Abd-Rabou denied that he flew off the handle as claimed, saying he will travel to Germany at his own expense.
"This allegation is baseless. I didn't affront anyone," he told FilGoal.com.
"Indeed I was angry but I didn't talk to the board members in an offensive manner.
"They have been avoiding me for a while because they don't want to pay my medical fees as agreed.
"They booked my flight to Germany but didn't live up to their word. I was provoked by the way they treated me."
When asked about his sanction and Ismaili's decision not to pay for his trip to Germany, Abd-Rabou said: "No one informed me of these decisions.
"I will travel to Germany at my own expense; I have to take care of my injury."
