West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola has astoundingly questioned the complaint filed by his own club against Fulham, regarding the latter's team selection in the 2-0 defeat at Hull last week. The Hammers officially protested against Fulham boss Roy Hodgson's decision to rest five key players against the Tigers, ahead of a Europa League clash with Wolfsburg in midweek. But West Ham boss Zola had a totally different opinion. "I just heard about that. I didn't know it was happening. As far as I'm concerned a manager can play his best team," said the Italian. "I have no doubts that Roy Hodgson is doing the best for his team. He's a person I respect for his loyalty and I have no complaints with that. "He decided to do that and I'm sure he has done the right thing for his club. Plus from what I read in the reports Fulham weren't that bad, so I have no problems with that." Wolves manager Mick McCarthy was widely criticized and his club was fined after making ten changes to his side in a 3-0 defeat at Manchester United earlier this season. Mido's West Ham and Amr Zaki's Hull are fiercely competing against each other in their quest to avoid relegation from the Premier League. Hull visit Stoke City on Saturday as the Hammers play at Everton on Sunday.
