Ahli goalie Sherif Ekrami has been ruled out for three weeks with a groin problem, the Red Devils announced on their official site. The well-built custodian suffered a groin tear in Ahli's 1-0 loss at Zimbabwe's Gunners in the African Champions League on Saturday. Ekrami has become Ahli's first-choice keeper since he joined the Cairo club from Gouna in the winter transfer window. Deputy keeper Ahmed Adel, who used to be the regular one before Ekrami's arrival, should play first-team football for the next three weeks. Ahli are facing ENPPI on Thursday in the Egyptian Premier League. Much to Ahli's agony, full-back Ahmed Ali needed five stitches in his face after colliding with a challenger. Ali is largely blamed for Ahli's defeat for his failure to prevent Norman Maroto from scoring. The right back mis-hit his kick when he tried to clear the danger to allow Maroto to collect the ball and fire a low shot into the bottom corner.
