Zamalek have voiced their disgruntlement over what they described as an irresponsible attack on the team's bus, following Sunday's league win at Petrojet. The White Knights, who crucially won 3-2 in Suez, said their bus has been stoned while they were on their way leaving the coastal city. "The Zamalek board condemns the attempt of an irresponsible minority to attack the first team's bus after the match at Petrojet," a club statement read. Zamalek's official site also claimed that a number of their fans were held hostages after the game. In the same context, Zamalek doctor Mostafa Al-Monayeri revealed that midfielder Ahmed Al-Merghani has been injured during the attack. "Al-Merghani's head was hit by a stone, but there is nothing to worry about. All the players are OK," the Zamalek chief medic told FilGoal.com. Al-Monayeri also allayed fears over the facial injury of goalkeeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed, who collided with an opponent late in the game.
