Egyptian pair Mido and Amr Zaki featured for West Ham United and Hull City respectively in a Premier League game that saw the Hammers register a 3-0 win on Saturday. Zaki was included in Hull's starting lineup but was taken off midway through the second half after putting in an average performance. The well-built player once came close to scoring when he headed a corner kick, but his effort was cleared off the line. Zaki and West Ham's Valon Behrami had a quick row following a fierce on-ball challenge, before the referee stepped in. Neither player was cautioned. On the other hand, Mido was introduced as a substitute 11 minutes from time to replace Carlton Cole. The towering hitman evidently increased the hosts' dominance.
Mido Mido, who turns 27 on Tuesday, didn't carve out clear-cut opportunities but his accurate passes helped West Ham play more fluently. Hull were abysmally affected by the dismissal of Craig Fagan early in the second period for tow bookable offences. Behrami, Cole and Julien Faubert have got their names on the score sheet on 3, 59 and 90 minutes respectively. West Ham advanced to 13th spot in the Premiership table with 27 points upon claiming all three points. Hull are still languishing near the relegation zone in 17th place with 24 points.
