Inter Milan ensured their Serie A title credentials after beating arch-rivals AC Milan 2-0 on Sunday although the Nerazzurri had two men dismissed. Argentine forward Diego Milito was the first to make the score-line on 10 minutes after intercepting Ignazio Abate's tame headed clearance. Goran Pandev netted Inter's second with a free kick five minutes past the hour mark. Wesley Sneijder received a straight red card on 27 minutes after giving the referee sarcastic applause for booking his teammate Lucio, who was also sent off in the dying minutes for a second bookable offense. Lucio deliberately handled the ball in the area to receive his marching orders, but Inter keeper Julio Cesar prevented Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho from converting the spot kick. Defending champions and leaders Inter are now on 49 points, while closest rivals Milan are tailing them by nine.
