Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says he's still in touch with Cristiano Ronaldo, but stressed that he would show him no leniency should the Red Devils take on Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Portugal wizard Ronaldo, who spent six spectacular seasons at Old Trafford, moved to Real in the summer on a world-record £80million deal from United, and had no problem settling down in Spain. Ronaldo made a quick impact with Los Merengues by scoring two goals in the Primera Liga and hitting a brace in midweek's Champions League 5-2 win over FC Zurich. United and Real are expected to clash in the latter stages of the continental competition, and Ferdinand is already sharpening the knife.
"I've been speaking to him (Ronaldo) on the phone," he told Sport Magazine. "I think it's in the stars it will happen. "You want to play against the best players, and he is the best. "He will get a hello and a shake of the hand, but if he needs to be kicked, he will be kicked."
