Ghazl Mahalla defeated Mansoura 1-0 on Thursday to secure their first Egyptian Premier League victory in the debut of new coach Mohamed Radwan. Defender Mohamed Al-Etrawi scored the winner after 17 minutes with a superb free kick. Mansoura's equalizer hopes were dealt a major blow eight minutes past the hour mark when Ali Eid received his marching orders for a second bookable offense. Radwan succeeded eighties star Sherif Al-Khashab, who stepped down from his post as Mahalla coach after a poor league start. Before beating Mansoura, the Peasants bagged just one point from a draw with Asyut Petroleum after losing their first two games against Ahli and Masri. Promoted Mansoura, who are yet to claim their first victory this season, have three points from four games.
