Milan close to signing Fabiano - Leonardo
Published in FilGoal on 13 - 07 - 2009

AC Milan coach Leonardo confirmed that his side are closing in on his Brazilian countryman Luis Fabiano.
Last month, Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani revealed that Milan would seek to sign either Fabiano or Emmanuel Adebayor should they fail to land Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko.
The Serie A giants indeed approached the Sevilla striker, but later on Milan chairman Silvio Berlusconi said the 28-year-old is unlikely to arrive at San Siro this summer.
Conversely, Leonardo assured the deal is widely expected to go through soon.
"Luis Fabiano is close," stated the World Cup winner after the 2-0 friendly victory over Varese. "There are just a few final details to sort out.
"Today I am happy with the squad which I have at my disposal, but if another player did arrive then I would certainly be content."

Ronaldinho
Working Hard
On the other hand, talented schemer Ronaldinho is 'working hard' to improve his fitness.
According to Leonardo, the former Barcelona man is aiming to secure a regular spot once again.
"Ronaldinho is working hard to be more of a constant threat throughout the whole of games," Leo added.
"He has enormous talent and if he repeats the kind of performance he put in today then he will return to being the player he once was."
