Hussein Ali has become the second midfielder to leave Ahli after joining newly-promoted side Gouna on Thursday. "Ahli have accepted Gouna's EGP1.75 million offer to sign Ali," the Egyptian champions said in a statement on their official website. The Cairo giants landed Ali from Petrojet last summer after beating arch-rivals Zamalek to his signature. The 27-year-old was handed few opportunities to prove his worth under former Ahli coach Manuel Jose. The club recently released another midfielder in Hassan Mostafa, who spent last season on loan at Police Union. Ali is the fourth high-profile player to join Gouna in the close season after the club purchased midfielder Wael Riad, defender Rami Adel and goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami. Meanwhile, Ahli have wrapped up their seventh off-season signing by acquiring the services of playmaker Alaa Shaaban from Hammam. He is the third player to join the Red Devils from a second-division club following the arrival of defender Mohamed Khalaf from Nasr and full-back Wael Shafik from Smouha. The club also signed Algerian playmaker Amir Sayoud, striking duo Mohamed Fadl and Chijioke Abai and central defender Ateya Al-Belkasi.
