Ahli skipper Shadi Mohamed will miss his side's Champions League clash against Kano Pillars on Saturday due to injury. The influential defender picked up a groin injury during Friday's training session as the Red Devils prepare to face Pillars in Nigeria in the first-leg of the Champions League round of 16. Ahli boss Manuel Jose decided to rest him for the tie. Stand-in defender Mohamed Samir is expected to deputize for Shadi to complete Ahli's three-man defense that also includes Ahmed Al-Sayed and Wael Gomaa.
