Al-Hadari loses Sion regular spot
Published in FilGoal on 14 - 04 - 2009

Sion chairman Christian Constantin said on Tuesday that stand-in keeper Nicolas Beney will win a regular place at the expense of Essam Al-Hadari.
Egypt guardian Al-Hadari went AWOL after growing increasingly frustrated with what he described 'Constantin's failure to live up to his promises' without further elaborating.
He recently revealed that he resolved his differences with the controversial chairman but it seems the settlement has come too late.
"Beney is now our number one," Constantin was quoted as saying by Sion-based paper Le Nouvelliste.
"When Al-Hadari returns from Egypt, he will have to learn from his mistakes when he watches Beney play instead of him."
Beney, 28, blocked two spot kicks as Sion advanced to the Swiss Cup final after beating Lucerne 4-2 on penalty shootout following a goalless draw.
Al-Hadari joined Sion in February 2008 in a controversial move that saw him leave Ahli without their consent.
His sudden departure incurred the wrath of Ahli fans, who hurled insults against him on several occasions during Egypt's home games.
The 36-year-old custodian was close to joining Ismaili in the January transfer window but Sion eventually turned down the Dervishes' offer.
