Zamalek are holding negotiations to exchange either Mostafa Gaafar or Sherif Ashraf for Ismaili striker Mohamed Fadl. The Dervishes chairman Nasr Aboul-Hassan revealed that both clubs are seriously considering the deal, which could be sealed this winter. "We are trying to work out all the details and reach a satisfying agreement," Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com. Zamalek have already unveiled their intention to land Fadl weeks ago. On the other hand, Ismaili suggested acquiring either Ashraf or Gaafar in return, saying the former is their preference. Gaafar, 28, couldn't carve out a regular first-team place this season in spite of the recurrent absence of Ghana's Junior Agogo and Gamal Hazma. Up-and-coming marksman Ashraf didn't leave his mark either, having scored only one goal this season. Fadl wants out Fadl's contract with Ismaili runs out by the end of the ongoing season. He decided to seal a new move as his club haven't offered him a new contract so far. The international hitman put on riveting performances last year in the Premier Egyptian League, and featured for Egypt in several 2010 World Cup qualifiers. However, he didn't impress on the local stage this season, with an average scoring tally of two goals in the Egyptian league. Throughout his career, Fadl played for a good number of high-profile outfits, such as Ahli, Ittihad and Kuwait's Kazma.
