Hassan hits out at Shobeir
Published in FilGoal on 05 - 01 - 2009

Hossam Hassan hit out again at Ahmed Shobeir, the former vice president of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and current board member Magdi Abdul-Ghani, accusing the duo of "working behind the scenes" to get him suspended.
The former Egypt captain was handed an indefinite touchline ban by the EFA, after being involved in a fracas during Masri's away match against Algeria's JSM Bejaia in the North African Club Competition.
Hossam and his twin Ibrahim, 42, were relieved of their duties as the coastal club head coach and football director respectively.
"I know that Shobeir and Abdul-Ghani were behind the ban. I don't know why they always come after me," Hossam told Dream TV.
Hossam urged EFA president Samir Zaher to listen to 'decent' board members before making his decisions.
"I would like Zaher to hear the EFA decent board members out, such as Hazem Al-Hawari and Hani Abu-Reida, because they are not driven by personal purposes," he added.
Exaggeration
Hossam, Egypt's most-capped player of all time, kept on panning sports presenter Shobeir, saying he has exaggerated the events in Algeria for no apparent reason.
The former Ahli and Zamalek star has been subjected to several disciplinary actions since taking over as Masri manager last season.
He has been suspended and fined more than once by the Egyptian FA for misconduct during league games.
However, it was his brother Ibrahim who caused further havoc in Algeria after the game, when he spat at the referee, assaulted the fourth official and made improper gestures towards the home crowd.
"Shobeir made a big deal out of it in his TV show. My brother and I were trying to phone in to clarify what had happened, but he didn't allow us," said Hossam.
