The injury suffered by midfielder Andres Iniesta left Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola in dismay, despite going through to the Champions League knockout stage. The Catalans labored to a 1-1 draw with minnows Basel at Nou Camp, but that was enough to send them to the last 16. However, Guardiola's team will miss influential playmaker Iniesta for up to six weeks after he sustained a serious thigh injury. "Iniesta's injury is very bad news for us," coach Pep Guardiola said at a news conference after the match. "It's never good to have an injured player so it's sad news tonight. He's an important player for us but injuries are a part of football." Barca could miss Iniesta in crunch league games against Real Madrid, Villarreal, Valencia and Sevilla in the upcoming period. Positive Guardiola is glad his side made it to the next round at such an early stage, but conceded that the unexpected draw did not satisfy him much. "I don't like the fact we drew, but maybe the result will do us some good," he said. "It is only November and we have qualified for the next round with two games to spare, so that's a positive."
