Ramzi returns to Zamalek
Published in FilGoal on 29 - 10 - 2008

Former Zamalek left-back Ahmed Ramzi has been appointed as the team's assistant coach after Tarek Yehia was shown the door, the Cairo club announced on Wednesday.
Zamalek board has overhauled the team's technical staff as they seek to end a crisis that saw the White Knights reel on the local and continental stages.
They exited the Champions League and lost twice in their first eight games.
Former Zamalek players Ahmed Refaat and Sami Al-Shesheini have been also added to the newly-formed technical staff.
Zamalek gave German manager Reiner Hollmann a vote of confidence despite the team's indifferent start to the season.
Ramzi's Role
Ramzi's task will be lifting the morale of the discontented players as well as identifying Zamalek needs in the upcoming period.
He is expected to have a bigger role than his predecessor Yehia.
Ramzi is a well-known figure in Egyptian football, having been part of the Pharaohs' squad that took part in the 1990 World Cup.
He took charge of Zamalek on a caretaker basis more than once but never made a notable impact.
The 43-year-old is always criticized for his notorious remarks. He used to accuse referees of favoring Zamalek's opponents.
Ramzi is also renowned for having a never-say-die attitude, refusing to give up hope even when it becomes clear to everybody that Zamalek will not be a serious title contender.
