Essam Al-Hadari's Sion failed to build on their victory over Young Boys after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Grasshoppers in the Swiss League on Wednesday. Egypt goalie Al-Hadari conceded two early goals after Argentinean striker Raul Bobadilla scored twice in the first 15 minutes. Sion's hopes of reducing the deficit were dealt a major blow after midfielder Julien Brellier was sent off in the 76th minute. However, Sion still managed to pull one back two minutes later through a goal from French midfielder Olivier Monterrubio. But Senad Lulic killed off the game with a stoppage-time goal for Grasshoppers. Sion slipped to seventh place in the league table with three points after suffering two defeats in the first three matches.
