Big guns splash the cash for new deals, while others hope to keep their star players put before the new season's kickoff.
Done Deals
Holland playmaker Rafel Van der Vaart completed a move from Hamburg to Real Madrid.
Liverpool made their summer hit as they grabbed Robbie Keane from Tottenham for ₤19M.
But Spurs have immediately lured England winger David Bentley from Blackburn for ₤19M.
Inter Milan captured Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari from Portsmouth in a four-year-deal.
Sunderland completed the signing of Senegalese winger El Hadji Diouf from Bolton Wanderers in an undisclosed deal.
England goalkeeper Paul Robinson left Tottenham for Blackburn, whilst his deputy Scott Carson joined newly-promoted West Brom from Liverpool.
Chelsea have allowed Claude Makelele to leave for Paris Saint Germain on a free transfer, PSG have also lured Ludovic Giuly from Roma.
Holland defender Khalid Boulahrouz has also left Chelsea for Stuttgart.
