Manchester United and Real Madrid are set to hold a meeting in order to discuss the infamous transfer saga regarding Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo, who has a contract with the Red Devils until 2012, has been persistently targeted by Real since the end of last season. Despite the Premiership champions' insistence that the Portuguese ace is not for sale, Real kept on their bid to sign him, much to the frustration of United's officials. However, Spanish daily AS reported that Real chairman Ramon Calderon will meet with United's chief executive David Gill to solve the problem. Meanwhile, Ronaldo is set for an ankle operation which might see him missing the start of the new season.
