Emad Soliman has stepped down as Ismaili manager despite being given a vote of confidence earlier this week. “I did my job and I think it's the right decision to quit now. There will be a new board and they have the right to chose a new manager,” Soliman said. The former Ismaili player was appointed last April succeeding Ismaili Hefni. He helped the team finish second in the Egyptian League to secure a CAF Champions League spot. The Dervishes coach has also denied having any differences with the board. “I never had calls from President Saad Al-Gendi and he never tried to interfere in our job as it was rumored,” added Soliman.
