Tottenham manager Juande Ramos said he could move for Spanish defender David Albelda if he is able to gain a free transfer from Valencia. "I have had a good relationship with David for many years as I coached his brother at Alcoyano and at Levante," Ramos told AS. Ramos came to White Hart Lane in October and has been linked with several Spanish-based players. "I asked him about his contractual situation because if he was leaving for free then I would be interested. But the situation with Valencia has not been solved and there was not much more to say," added the Spaniard. New Valencia boss Ronald Koeman told Albelda, Santiago Canizares and Miguel Angulo that there is no room for them in the team. Albelda is looking to have regular football in order to secure a place in Spain's squad that will play in the Euro 2008.
