Roma winger Amantino Mancini is close to signing a new deal with the Serie A giants, technical director Bruno Conti assured. A meeting on Tuesday has seemingly resulted in an agreement between the two parties for a further stay to the Brazilian hot shot. "There are just some small details to be defined," said former Italy star Conti. "We will meet again ahead of the Real Madrid game and stay together to work out those small things that are missing, but we are close and that is the important thing." The Giallorossi will face Real Madrid, who were one of several clubs interested in Mancini's services, in the UEFA Champions League last 16 phase next month. It is expected that Mancini will put pen on paper for a deal which should keep him at Olimpico until 2012.
