Zamalek have denied on Thursday reports saying that striker Amr Zaki has been placed on the transfer list after his repeated problems with the club's board. "These reports are absolute nonsense. Zamalek intend to keep Zaki," a club official, who wasn't named, told the Cairo giants' website. "There are some people who are trying to influence Zamalek board to offload Zaki but the club are looking to reinforce their squad rather than releasing their stars." Zamalek have recently banned Zaki for two weeks and handed him an EGP 30,000 fine for being involved in a scuffle with assistant coach and football director Ayman Mansour. The combative striker served a one-month ban that ended two weeks ago for another public brawl with team officials. "He should concentrate on footballing matters in order to regain his strength on the pitch," the official added. Meanwhile, Khaled Saad took part in Zamalek's 1-1 draw with Al-Dakhleya in a friendly game on Thursday. The Jordanian left-back was snubbed by Dutch coach Ruud Krol since making a substitute appearance against Ismaili in the league opener. However, he now seems back in contention for Zamalek's Egyptian League match against Arab Contractors on November 28th.
