Bayern Munich will be without key duo Franck Ribery and Luca Toni when they visit Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Cup opener on Thursday. The Bundesliga giants confirmed on their official site on Wednesday that winger Ribery (hamstring) and striker Toni (flu) did not travel with team this morning. Defense duo Martin Demichelis and Daniel Van Buyten will also miss the game with flu and thigh problems respectively. However, it is likely that Brazilian defender Lucio will be fit for the game, even though Bayern said on Monday that he is ruled out with a stomach injury. Germany full-back Philip Lahm will also make his return from a knee injury that kept him out of action since September.
