Lazio coach Delio Rossi has been charged with trying to influence the performance of Lecce during a Serie A game in 2006, the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC) said on Tuesday. FIGC released a statement on their official website claiming that the 46-year-old manager faces a probe regarding his conduct before Lazio's 1-0 victory over Lecce in April 30, 2006. "Coach Delio Rossi has been charged with trying to ask, without success, Lazio President Lotito to start talks with Lecce directors in a bid to affect the technical performance of the squad ahead of the match." The capital side are yet to comment on the statement. Lazio initially finished sixth in the 2005/2006 season before being deducted points due to their involvement in the Italian match-fixing scandal. Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Reggina were also punished in the scandal that rocked Italian football.
