Egypt's friendly against Ivory Coast, which was scheduled for August 21st, has been postponed for one day due to Ahli's continental commitment, national team assistant coach Shawki Gharib said on Saturday. Ahli will face Sudanese giants Hilal away from home on August 19th in the CAF Champions League, just two days before the international friendly, which was due to be held in Paris. The decision came after Egyptian Football Association president Samir Zaher held a meeting with vice-president Ahmed Shobeir to discus the matter. "The match was postponed for one day in order to give Ahli players time to link up with their Egypt team-mates," Gharib told FilGoal.com. "The game will not be played in Paris as previously agreed because France will face Slovakia in the same day." Egypt, who are on top of Group B in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers, host Burundi on either the seventh, eighth or ninth of September before visiting Botswana one month later.
