Egyptian champions Ahli could pull out of Hosni Abd-Rabou's deal at the request of top government officials, FilGoal.com understands. Sources told FilGoal.com on Sunday that Ahli are expected to halt their negotiations with the Egypt international midfielder, although he has already penned a three-year deal with the Cairo giants. Ismaili fans were outraged after Strasburg midfielder Abd-Rabou, who spent last season loan at the Dervishes, joined rivals Ahli. The player's move to Ahli came after Ismaili chairman Yehia Al-Koumi failed to pay 500,000 euros to French club Strasbourg on time in order to turn Abd-Rabou's loan deal into a permanent one. Abd-Rabou's father told Egyptian daily Al-Messa that his son will link up with his Ismaili teammates in their pre-season camp in Alexandria. He also said that the matter will be over in the next few days and that Abd-Rbou will play for Ismaili next season.
