AC Milan striker Ronaldo admitted that he has not yet reached his top form with the Rossoneri, but he is confident that he can retain his world class status by the start of next season. "I'm not at the top of my form yet. I am training hard and every now and then I feel a few niggles that slow me down," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "These are normal, as I am finally getting to grips with some little aspects that are affecting my physique discovered by Milan Lab, so I know at the end of this process I will be great again." The former FIFA Player of the Year scored five times for Milan since joining in January, the last of which was a wonderful strike against Messina on Saturday. However, the Brazilian icon feels he has the potential to rediscover himself.
He wants to go back to being Number One! "At the start of next season, after the summer training camp, I will be at the top once more. I will be Number One," he said. The 30-year-old insisted that he has not past his peak, placing himself in comparison with Francesco Totti and Andriy Shevchenko. "I am sure I can do it and have so much more to give in this sport. I was born the same week as Francesco Totti and Andriy Shevchenko, yet nobody doubts or criticizes their stamina. I am not old, nor finished – you will realize that." Ronaldo confirmed his stay at the San Siro to the end of his playing career marking his happiness with the Italian giants. "I will end my career here. I don't know for how many years I will play, but I want to do so with this jersey."
