Gerrard unfazed by Gattuso threat
Published in FilGoal on 20 - 05 - 2007

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard claims that his focus is on facing AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League final on Wednesday and not his anticipated confrontation with Gennaro Gattuso.
A midfield-warfare is expected between the two world class players, but the England international does not seem to be concerned about that special contest.
"I am not preparing to play against Gattuso, I am preparing to play against AC Milan," Gerrard said on Sky Sports News.
However, Gerrard sounded his admiration to Gattuso's history, despite claiming in his autobiography that the tireless midfielder is 'is as scary as a kitten'.

Doesn't really look like a kitten
"He is a fantastic player with a lot of experience, he's won the World Cup and for many years he has proved himself at the top level.
"But I am not going into the game worried about Gennaro Gattuso - I am worried about AC Milan and how Steven Gerrard is going to play."
The Anfield hero believes that if he is in form next Wednesday, it will be difficult for the Italian to stop him.
"If I can get myself right, we will see if Gattuso can stop me."
The Rossoneri will seek vengeance for their infamous 2005 final defeat in Istanbul when Gerrard and co. came back from three goals down to win the European cup on penalties.
