Ahli right-back Islam Al-Shater will undergo scans on his left foot on Sunday to determine the extent of the injury he picked up in his side's 2-0 Egyptian League win over ENPPI. Al-Shater was taken-off on a stretcher one minute before the break and was replaced by Ahmed Adel. The initial diagnosis indicated that the 30-year-old defender tore a groin muscle, the injury that will rule him out of action for a month-and-a-half at least. Consequently, Al-Shater will miss the rest of the league campaign, which ends late in May. "Thanks God, the team do not have decisive matches in the upcoming period as we are just five points short of securing the league title," Al-Shater told FilGoal.com on Saturday. "In case we beat Mamelodi Sundowns in the return-leg of the CAF Champions League round of 16 we won't have any important African fixtures until July when the group stage begins. "I'm just disappointed to miss Ahli's friendly against Barcelona on the 24th of April," he added.
