Former Ismaili board member Khaled Bayoumi has launched a scathing attack on the club's president Yehia Al-Koumi, accusing him of ruining the Dervishes' football team. "Al-Koumi is a dictatorial person; he takes all crucial decisions alone without taking any advice from the board of directors," Bayoumi told FilGoal.com on Friday. Ismaili could face an early elimination from the CAF Confederation Cup after grabbing only a 2-1 home victory over Zambia's Green Buffaloes in first-leg of the competition's third round. Ismaili's fans insulted Al-Koumi after the Buffaloes scored the opener, which prompted the president to hand in his resignation. However, he made a U-turn on his decision and decided to stay in Ismaili's presidency shortly after. "It was an intelligent move from Al-Koumi, his fake resignation made the governorate officials rush to his office in order to convince him not to leave his post." "It was an effort from him to oppose any attempts of holding new elections," the Arab and Radio Television (ART) analyst added. Bayoumi also revealed his intention to be candidate for the vice-president position in Ismaili in the upcoming elections.
