Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has claimed the match against Inter is not decisive, but warned his team not to get overconfident about their strong Serie A start. "This clash will not be decisive for the title," Spalletti said according to Calcio Italia magazine. The two teams will face off on Wednesday at the Stadio Olimpico, but Spalletti insisted the road to the Scudetto title was still long. "There are too many games left before the end of the season. After all, we have only just started the campaign." Roma made a bright start to the season with two straight wins, but face the risk of a repeat of the Italian Super Cup 4-3 defeat from the Nerazzurri. While the capital outfit has been soaring, Inter struggled with a loss at Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions League and a draw with Sampdoria last Saturday. According to Spalletti, the recent loss of face might make Inter fight harder against Roma. "[The] match can end with any result, they want to react to their difficult phase and we want to show that we deserve to be at the top," Spalletti said. "Our start was better than Inter's, but they are sure to be very angry after their recent disappointments." Although Inter claim the league title last season, they were only bestowed with the honor after it was stripped from Juventus in the match-fixing scandal. Inter also utilized Juventus' relegation to purchase some top quality players and as a result is heavily favored for the title. While Spalletti may not have the same transfer talent crop, he'd like to prove Roma as an equal. "It would be important for us to win, it would prove that we are on the same level, although I still think they have something more than us." Given their newly appointed status and fresh talent, the Milanese team is ready to prove their worth, something Spalletti has warned Roma about. "That fact does not favor us at all. As a result, I'm sure that they will use that anger against us in the tie," he said.
