Zamalek put a not-for-sale tag over the contract of prominent striker Amr Zaki yet the Egyptian international stressed he will make more efforts to convince the club to let him go. Club spokesman Alaa Mekled confirmed on Saturday that the club received an offer from a Premiership side worth three million Euros. But he said that the club is unlikely to accept it as the player's presence is vital for Zamalek this season. Although Mekled refused to mention the name of the interested club, FilGoal.com learnt that it is either Blackburn Rovers or Manchester City who are targeting Zaki. Zaki, who signed for Zamalek this summer after an unsuccessful spell with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow, said he was shocked at the decision of the Cairo club. He told FilGoal.com that he is keen on playing in the Premiership and said he will meet Zamalek officials later on Saturday in a bid to make them accept the offer. Zaki scored two goals for Zamalek in the last three games and is seen by the fans as the answer to their team's weak attacking line. The 23-year-old talisman was a member in Egypt's squad that won the African Cup of Nations on home soil in February. He scored the winner in a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Senegal in the semis.
