Camoranesi wants out
Published in FilGoal on 19 - 08 - 2006

Juventus winger Mauro Camoranesi said that he won't be staying with Juventus and play Serie B football next season.
The Argentine-born player earlier said he won't be leaving Juventus after the club was demoted for second division for their involvement in the Calciopoli scandal, however the player's agent came back and confirmed that his client wants to leave the Stadio Delle Alpi.
"Camoranesi doesn't intend to stay with Juventus," Camoranesi's agent Sergio Fortunato was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia magazine on Saturday.
"Mauro is clear on the issue and confirmed it on Thursday after a meeting with Roberto Bettega and sports director Alessio Secco."
Following the mass departures of Fabio Cannavaro, Lilian Thuram, Emerson and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Juventus coach Didier Deschamps and the club board were keen on not letting anymore stars leave the team.
"I don't understand why the Coach and club continue to maintain the player has accepted Serie B. It isn't true. Camoranesi will not play in the Second Division," Fortunato confirmed.
Several clubs showed interest in the 29-year-old, and Fortunato said that the whole transfer issue could be finished as soon as possible
"I hope that the offers received from Valencia and Lyon can be evaluated as soon as possible. These are the options we prefer."
