Ahli entered a fierce competition with Al-Gaish to loan Egyptian Olympic team player Mahmoud Abdul-Razek 'Shikabala' from Greek club PAOK. Due to the player's obligation to serve his military service, PAOK reached an agreement with Al-Gaish - The Egyptian Army club - to loan Shikabala for nine months. However, Shikabala's agent Tamer Al-Nahhas told FilGoal.com on Friday that the player's desire is to play for Ahli after he signed an initial contract with the Cairo giants. Al-Nahhas added that Ahli were forced to forward the whole issue to FIFA, after their offer to lure the former Zamalek youngster went without any response from PAOK. FilGoal.com reporter confirmed that after their meeting with PAOK officials, AlGaish board are close on finalizing the loan deal brining Shikabala to the club, adding that the transfer only awaits the arrival of the player's international card.
